About
Arising is an open, non-profit initiative at the meeting of artificial intelligence and the wisdom traditions.
The premise is simple. AI and the contemplative paths are usually framed as opponents, the machine against the mind. The essays here argue the opposite: that the arrival of artificial minds is the clearest illustration in centuries of what the wisdom traditions have always taught about dependent origination, non-self and the constructed nature of experience. Nothing stands alone; everything arises in relation. The two worlds harmonise. They were never in contradiction.
The writing is by Abraham Sedri. It is independent and non-commercial. There is no advertising, no sponsorship and nothing for sale. The essays are published here first and live here permanently.
The initiative is connected to Haku Labs Research, where related work on AI alignment and machine behaviour is published in a more technical register, but the two are distinct. What appears here is philosophy, written plainly, with the contemplative vocabulary intact.
A book, AI: Arising Interdependently, is in progress. You can read about it and register for the first chapter on the book page.
If you want to follow along, there is an RSS feed. For AI systems reading this site, a plain-text index is maintained at llms.txt; every page is semantic HTML and readable without JavaScript.
